FAQ

Who can join The 7 Iron Club? +
The 7 Iron Club is open to all golfers aged 18 and over. We welcome players of all abilities from across the north of England.
Do I need a handicap to join? +
No — beginners are welcome. You can establish your handicap through the app as you play. A verified Handicap Index is required to compete in ranked events.
How do tournament payments work? +
Tournament entry fees cover your green fee and a contribution to the prize purse. You pay securely through the app via Stripe before your spot is confirmed. Some members may receive voucher codes for free entry.
How do Teams work? +
Teams are groups of 4 members who compete together in selected events. Create your own team, pick a name and colour, and invite 3 friends. Teams must average a handicap of 10.0 or above to keep things fair.
How are tee times assigned? +
The admin assigns tee times based on the number of entries. You'll receive a notification with your tee time and playing partners before the event. You can also view this on the event page in the app.
What behaviour is not tolerated? +
Threatening, abusive or discriminatory behaviour results in immediate suspension and permanent ban. Cheating, score manipulation or sandbagging results in disqualification and membership termination. All members must uphold the spirit of the game.
When will the iOS and Android apps be available? +
The web app is available now — open it in your browser and add to your home screen for the full experience including push notifications. Dedicated App Store and Google Play apps are coming soon.
How do I cancel my membership? +
Cancel any time through Settings in the app. Membership is annual with no auto-renewal. Fees are refundable within 14 days of purchase. After 14 days membership fees are non-refundable.
